RAFAEL EYES 'DREAM' REAL MOVE
Van der Vaart - would like to join Real Madrid.
Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has revealed that a move to Real Madrid would be a dream come true.
The Dutch international is under contract with the German side until 2010 but has been the subject of a €9million (£7million) bid from Real.
An earlier bid for his services was rejected by Hamburg's director of football Dietmar Beiersdorfer, who hopes to keep the playmaker at the club for their Champions League challenge.
Van der Vaart joined Hamburg in 2005 from Ajax and has enjoyed a successful spell in the Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old now hopes that a move to Spain can be finalised after Hamburg boss Martin Jol said he could leave at the right price.
"For me to play at Real Madrid is a dream, and if this agreement is eventually sealed I will be a happy man," the midfielder told Spanish sports daily AS.
"For the moment I'm still a Hamburg player but I hope things can be settled soon and that the two clubs can find an agreement."
