KENYON RETAINS ROBINHO HOPE

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has confirmed that the Blues remain in the hunt for Robinho.
The Real Madrid playmaker has been a transfer target for the Premier League side for some time, with conflicting reports suggesting where the Brazilian will begin the upcoming season.
However, Kenyon has reiterated that a deal for the 24-year-old remains a possibility and he will continue with his attempts to bring new faces to Stamford Bridge ahead of the new campaign.
"One of the key issues over buying Robinho has always been that Real Madrid are looking for a replacement," the Blues chief executive told the club's official website.
"It is fair to say that is what has been holding up discussions between the two clubs.
"It has not progressed over the last couple of days, but the window is open until the end of August so there is still plenty of time to run."
One player who will not be heading to Madrid as a replacement for Robinho is Didier Drogba.
The Ivory Coast international continues to be linked with a summer departure, but Kenyon insists the 30-year-old is going nowhere.
"There is no question that any deal will be done with regards to Didier," he said.
"Didier is currently in rehab (following a knee problem) and will continue to be a Chelsea player. I think we can squash that one."
Kenyon also dismissed speculation linking the club with a move for Werder Bremen playmaker Diego.
"With regards to Diego, I was as amazed as everybody else to read it in the newspapers this morning (Friday) so again I think that is just pure speculation."
