MILITO HAPPY WITH GENOA DECISION

Diego Milito - has joined Genoa.

Argentina striker Diego Milito does not regret leaving the Primera Liga and returning to Italian club Genoa.

Milito joined the Serie A minnows from Real Zaragoza on transfer deadline day in a deal worth 10million euros to become Genoa's biggest acquisition this summer.

"I believe I have made the right choice, I feel at home here and they are my people," said Milito.

The 29-year-old was greeted by over 1,000 Genoa fans upon his arrival to Bergamo airport on Tuesday evening.

Milito helped Genoa gain promotion to Italys top flight in the 2004-05 campaign but left to Zaragoza that summer shortly after the club were demoted to Serie C1 following financial irregularities.

The South American star is set to make his Serie A debut when Genoa host AC Milan on September 14.
