NO INTER CONTACT OVER MUNTARI

Muntari - linked with Inter Milan.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp insists he has not received contact from Inter Milan regarding Sulley Muntari.

Inter boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be lining up Muntari as a possible midfield option, if he misses out on Chelsea star Frank Lampard.

Muntari, 23, has impressed at Fratton Park since moving from Udinese last summer and Redknapp is adamant he will not be allowing the Ghana international to leave.

"I don't know anything about it. It's a new one to me," Redknapp told Sky Sports News when asked about Inter's interest in Muntari.

"I don't want to sell him. He is one of my best players and is a terrific young talent.

"If someone from Italy has been in touch, they have certainly not been in touch with me."

Meanwhile, Redknapp remains confident that Kanu will agree a new one-year deal as Portsmouth prepare for next season in the UEFA Cup.

Kanu, who is discussions with Pompey director Peter Storrie, secured the club their place in Europe as he netted the only goal of the game in May's FA Cup final victory over Cardiff and Redknapp is desperate to keep hold of the forward.

When asked about Kanu's contract Redknapp said: "Peter is dealing with it. The big man (Kanu) has done great for me and I love him.

"It is up to him at the end of the day. Hopefully he will get it signed and I'm sure he will.

"He loves it here, he is happy here. I don't think anyone will look after him as well as we do."
