More away-day joy for Millers
Le Fondre: On target for the Millers
Rotherham claimed their third successive away win thanks to late goals from Kevin Ellison and Adam Le Fondre in a 2-0 win at Plainmoor.
Ellison pounced from close range in the 85th minute after home goalkeeper Michael Poke had made a goal-line stop from Le Fondre's header.
Le Fondre then clipped the ball over Poke in stoppage time - with Torquay committed to attack - for his 12th goal of the season.
Rotherham had been threatening throughout and Poke made a brilliant double stop to deny Le Fondre and then substitute Stephen Brogan at the start of the second half.
At the other end, Mark Ellis sent a long punt into the area from his own half that Tim Sills met with a looping header that forced Andy Warrington to tip the ball over.
Warrington then made his own spectacular diving double save to twice deny substitute Jake Thomson on 66 minutes, before the Millers grabbed two late goals to secure the win.
