Shots overcome high-flying Quakers
Aldershot: Impressive victory
The Shots took the lead after just six minutes when striker Morgan rose above the static Darlington defence to head home Scott Donnelly's corner.
The Quakers were slow out of the blocks as the home side continued to press and doubled their lead in the 26th minute when Soares was on hand to slot home Lewis Chalmers' right-wing cross.
But Darlington began to rouse and pulled one back in first-half injury time when Robin Hulbert tapped home from close range after Gregg Blundell's pass, but it was not enough to inspire a Quakers comeback.
