O'Driscoll content to wait on Wellens

O'Driscoll content to wait on Wellens

Wellens: Decision needs to be made

The midfielder will undergo surgery to resolve a double hernia next week after struggling with the problem over the latter half of the season.

Wellens missed the first leg of Doncaster's semi-final at Southend, but returned to the starting line-up in the return before making way for Mark McCammon in the 73rd minute.

The former Oldham playmaker said he would not know until the morning of the game if he would be fit enough to be involved at Wembley.

Defender Gareth Roberts is another doubt as he is struggling with a hamstring strain, but apart from one or two players carrying "knocks", O'Driscoll has no other injury or suspension worries.
