SIMPSON COULD BE AVAILABLE

Sky Blues wait on striker.

Coventry striker Robbie Simpson should be available to face Swansea despite suffering a gashed ankle against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Simpson's wound required stitches and it remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old will start the game, but he is expected to be included in the squad.

Midfielders Jay Tabb and Aron Gunnarsson could return after being absent for the Sky Blues' 1-0 victory at Hillsborough.

Tabb missed the trip to south Yorkshire through illness while Gunnarsson was suspended after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in the home defeat to Plymouth.

Gunnarsson also suffered a broken wrist against Argyle. If the Icelander does play against Swansea he would have to wear a protective cast.

Swansea manager Roberto Martinez will be without goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos for the visit to the Ricoh Arena.

The 29-year-old is unable to play due to the terms of his loan agreement from the Sky Blues, meaning Dorus De Vries will play with the aid of a protective mask after recently fracturing his cheekbone.

Ferrie Bodde will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his cruciate ligament and tearing the cartilage in his left knee in the 3-2 defeat to Birmingham last Friday.

Fellow midfielder Leon Britton is a major doubt after being substituted in the 72nd minute against the Blues with a back injury, but Tom Butler could return to Martinez's first-team plans following his recovery from a hamstring problem.

Midfield pair Andrea Orlandi (thigh) and Joe Allen (ankle) will miss out, while Marcos Painter remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
