NASH MOVES TO EVERTON
Nash - has joined Everton.
Everton have signed goalkeeper Carlo Nash from Wigan for an undisclosed fee.
David Moyes has been on the lookout for a new keeper since allowing Stefan Wessels to leave Goodison Park at the end of last season.
He has now managed to push through a deal for Nash before Monday night's transfer deadline.
Nash moved to Wigan from Preston last summer after impressing during a loan spell, but he was unable to hold down a regular place in the side and was loaned out to Stoke.
Chris Kirkland has established himself as the first-choice starter at the JJB Stadium, while Mike Pollitt recently lined up between the posts against Chelsea when he was injured.
Nash is likely to provide back-up for American Tim Howard at Everton after signing a two-year deal.
"I have known of Everton's interest for the last couple of weeks and there have been a few sleepless nights hoping it would go through," the 34-year-old told his new club's official website.
"Finally it has and I am over the moon."
