LARSSON STAYING IN SWEDEN

LARSSON STAYING IN SWEDEN

Larsson - staying in Sweden.

Helsingborgs striker Henrik Larsson appears to have ruled out a move to Everton after announcing he will 'not go anywhere'.

Toffees boss David Moyes has been strongly linked with Larsson after enduring a frustrating summer in the transfer market where he has missed out on a number of prime targets.

Moyes is eager to reinforce his squad following an unconvincing start to the season, but it looks unlikely that 36-year-old Larsson will be arriving at Goodison Park ahead of the transfer deadline.

Former Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United forward Larsson, who represented Sweden at Euro 2008 after coming out of international retirement, insists he wants to stay in his homeland.

"I will not go anywhere. It has never been my intention (to leave)," he told Expressen.

Tottenham and West Ham were also understood to be tracking Larsson, who has scored 37 goals in 99 games for Sweden.
