JONES MISSING FOR BORO
Mido - likely to start.
Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate will be without first-choice goalkeeper Brad Jones for the home Carling Cup clash with Yeovil on Tuesday night.
The Australian dislocated a finger during the warm-up at Liverpool on Saturday and was replaced by Ross Turnbull. Southgate is likely to choose between Turnbull and youngster Jason Steele for the second-round clash at the Riverside Stadium.
Mido is likely to start in attack, while there could be a full debut for Justin Hoyte, and the manager will hope Andrew Taylor and David Wheater shake off minor knocks suffered in the 2-1 defeat at Anfield.
Yeovil are suffering an injury crisis ahead of the trip.
Aidan Downes will be out for several weeks after damaging medial knee ligaments in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Leeds, while fellow winger Danny Schofield suffered severe bruising to his shin during the same game, and will also miss out.
Defensive duo Nathan Smith (groin) and Aaron Brown (ankle) are rated doubtful, while midfielder Darren Way will be monitored closely following his recent back and hamstring problems.
With on-loan Portsmouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic also unavailable because his parent club do not want him cup-tied, the Glovers may be down to just 13 players, and could name 45-year-old assistant manager Steve Thompson on the bench.
However, Marc Bircham should recover from a hamstring injury to take his place in the side.
