MONACO CLOSE TO TIAGO DEAL

Tiago - was wanted by Everton.

Monaco are in talks with Juventus regarding the loan signing of Tiago from the Serie A club.

The Portugal midfielder is out of favour at Juve and recently turned down a move to English Premier League side Everton.

But he could make a return to France, where he was a two-time title-winner with Lyon in 2006 and 2007.

Alessio Secco, the sporting director at Juve, is quoted in L'Equipe as saying: "We are in talks with Monaco.

"We are on the same wavelength, a loan with the option of buying. Tiago must now decide."

The 27-year-old, who has also played for Chelsea and Benfica, joined Juventus for 13 million euros last summer.
