TWO IN, ONE OUT FOR ADDICKS
Varney - Derby loan move.
Charlton have signed Sheffield Wednesday's Deon Burton and Derby's Jay McEveley on loan while letting frontman Luke Varney join the Rams.
Burton arrives in south London initially on loan with a view to a permanent free transfer in January.
McEveley has agreed a three-month loan deal while Varney, signed by former Addicks boss Alan Pardew for £2million from Crewe in May 2007, will join Derby for an undisclosed fee when the transfer window reopens.
Caretaker boss Phil Parkinson told the club's official website: "There's no fee involved for Deon and he's a player I've admired for a long time.
"I'm also delighted to bring Jay in. He's a big, strong, athletic full-back who will give us much-needed consistency in that area.
"I felt Luke needed a change of scenery to kick-start his career and it was a chance for the club to recoup a large chunk of the transfer fee paid out for him."
