PARKINSON FANCIES CHARLTON JOB
Parkinson - caretaker boss.
Charlton Athletic caretaker manager Phil Parkinson has revealed his interest at becoming the next permanent boss at The Valley.
The former Colchester and Hull manager was assistant to Alan Pardew, who was sacked after Saturday's 5-2 home defeat to Sheffield United saw the club slip into the Championship's bottom three.
Parkinson has been placed in temporary charge and told BBC Radio London: "I think once you have had a taste of management, you miss it.
"I have enjoyed working at Charlton but I am ambitious and whether it is here or somewhere else, I feel I want to be a manager again.
"I am ready to be a manager again and I see myself as a manager but it is not about me, it is about Charlton Athletic Football Club and getting this season back on track and that is what we have all got to do."
