VILLANUEVA NOT ANNOYED BY INCE

Villanueva - happy at Ewood.

Blackburn star Carlos Villanueva has strenuously denied saying manager Paul Ince 'annoyed' him.

The Chilean, who is on loan at Rovers for the season from Audax Italiano, has impressed so far during his stint in England.

But an interview he conducted in his native Chile appeared in the English press and suggested he was unhappy at Ewood Park.

But agent Cristian Otero says the whole issue is down to the translation.

"We are all very upset at what has been reported, it really was not what Carlos said or what he meant," Otero explained to skysports.com.

"He was just talking about his start to his English career and things have been twisted by whoever has picked the story up.

"Now we are seeing all these stories and no doubt Paul Ince will have seen them - but they are wrong.

"Carlos would never say anything bad about Paul Ince as has been portrayed, and we want these lies to stop now.

"Carlos will no longer be conducting interviews unless one of his representatives is present.

"Carlos is committed to Blackburn and is determined to be a success with them."
