ROBINSON INJURY BLOW FOR ROVERS

ROBINSON INJURY BLOW FOR ROVERS

Robinson - injury blow.

Paul Robinson is a doubt for England's World Cup qualifying game against Kazakhstan on October 11.

The Blackburn goalkeeper has been ruled out for two weeks by his club because of a calf injury sustained in the first half of the midweek Carling Cup defeat of Everton.

It means he is unlikely to figure in the Wembley clash on October 11 - and also calls into question his availability for the match in Belarus four days later.

(reopens) Blackburn boss Ince expressed his disappointment at Robinson's enforced abscence.

He said: "Paul was fantastic against Fulham (last Saturday) and made some world class saves.

"He is a man's man and wants to prove a point. So when he came off so early in the game (on Wednesday) you knew something wasn't right. He would not come off for no reason."
