O'NEILL EYES 'THREE MORE ADDITIONS'

O'NEILL EYES 'THREE MORE ADDITIONS'

O'Neill - is looking to make signings.

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has revealed he is still in the market to strengthen his squad before the close of the transfer window.

Carlos Cuellar became Villa's seventh signing of the summer last week following the acquisitions of Curtis Davies, Steve Sidwell, Luke Young, Nicky Shorey, Brad Friedel and Brad Guzan.

O'Neill remains keen to further bolster his squad for the 2008/09 campaign, and has hinted he may look to secure 'three' more additions.

"We have got just less than two weeks, but I am hopeful we can sign some players. We are still actively trying to get some people in," O'Neill said in the Daily Express.

"I have the support from the chairman (Randy Lerner), who has shown his intentions and done exactly what he said he would in supporting the team.

"We might get another three players in and we might be stricken with the same situation as West Ham this time last year.

"We might not be able to cope, but you have a better chance if you have the people in."
