ENGLAND WON'T BORE - CAPELLO
Capello - wants positive performance.
Fabio Capello believes England will produce their best home performance of his time in charge when they host Kazakhstan in a World Cup qualifier at Wembley on Saturday.
Capello has previously indicated he feels his side have been inhibited rather than helped by the surrounds of their home stadium, and saw them held to a 2-2 draw on their last Wembley date in a friendly with Czech Republic.
England will play at the famous stadium for the first time in a competitive fixture under Capello and will be buoyed by consecutive away wins against Andorra and Croatia to start their campaign.
Capello's side were in devastating form as they brushed Croatia aside 4-1 last time out, with Theo Walcott bagging a hat-trick, and the Italian tactician expects more of the same.
"There is a big expectation on us but that is normal for an England team," he said.
"We have to play with confidence and I am sure we will. It will be better than when we have played at Wembley before."
Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand will take the captain's armband with John Terry sidelined and one of Matthew Upson, Joleon Lescott or Wes Brown will deputise in central defence.
Steven Gerrard returns for the injured Joe Cole in a midfield that also includes Frank Lampard and Gareth Barry.
In contrast to England's much-travelled millionaires, Kazakhstan take a squad of domestic-based players to Wembley.
Caretaker manager and former under-21 manager Bernd Storck, who replaced Dutchman Arno Pijpers, has carried out his pledge to purge the squad and promote from the youth teams with Dmitriy Byakov, their top-scorer in Euro 2008 qualifying, and Dynamo Moscow midfielder, Andrei Karpovich, the major casualties.
England have a 120 year head start on Kazakhstan, who are ranked 131 in the world and only played their first international in 1992.
Storck and his players will be desperate to show their best after consecutive defeats to Croatia and the Ukraine, have left them feeling deflated after a 3-0 win to open their campaign against Andorra.
Croatia will be desperate to relaunch their campaign in the Ukraine.
Their qualification hopes were dealt a severe blow when England ended their 36-game unbeaten home run with an emphatic 4-1 win last month.
The defeat will encourage coach Slaven Bilic to freshen-up his team for the encounter with Ukraine three points above them in the Group Six table.
Following his red card against England, Robert Kovac is suspended and will be replaced by either Dario Knezevic or Ivica Krizanac, while Ivica Olic could start alone up front.
Ukraine, who are level with England on six points in the group, will be without injured striker Artem Milevsky but Andriy Shevchenko and Andriy Voronin are showing signs of returning to some form after scoring for their respective clubs last week.
Coach Olexiy Mikhaylychenko will make a decision on whether to play Andriy Pyatov or uncapped Stanislav Bogush in goal.
