The Tripe Gossip

MILAN WANT DIDIER
Sigh. We get the feeling that we'll be reading the following rumour many, many times over the next few months.

The Daily Mirror 'reports' that AC Milan will make a £20million bid for....drum roll please....go on, have a guess...yes! Didier Drogba!

After watching their startling lack of anything approaching a cutting edge against Arsenal on Tuesday night, you can't really blame them, especially with Ronaldo's prospects of playing again looking more and more slim, if you'll pardon the expression.

The Mirror desperately try to give their story some credence by claiming that Milan also want Jose Mourinho to take over as their manager from Carlo Ancelotti, but hey - might happen, might not.

THE NEW SCOTT PARKER
Must try harder Daily Mirror. But lookey here - this is more like it.

When Chelski signed Steve Sidwell, we all rolled our eyes and said 'Yep, he's the new Scott Parker'.

Well if you believe the Mirror, that may be about to become almost literally true.

They reckon Alan Curbishley is 'desperate' for Sidwell to join Parker in the West Ham midfield/treatment room, and already has a large, £5million cheque written out with Chelski's name on it.

SOME GOOD NEWS FOR ARSENAL...
...As if Gooners needed any at the moment.

Mathieu Flamini says he wants to stay exactly where he is, reports The Daily Mirror.

Oh, hang on, not 'reports The Daily Mirror' at all - he said it yesterday. Look.

SOME STANDARD NEWS FOR ARSENAL
The Daily Mirror obviously hasn't been shocked very much recently.

For they claim that Arsene Wenger has his beady eyes on Cardiff's 17-year old 'midfield dynamo' Aaron Ramsey, and is 'plotting a shock raid'.

So Wenger wants to sign a youngster that few people of heard of? Shocking stuff.

Anyway, when did Cardiff's youth development scheme get so bloody good?

AND NOW WE RUN OUT OF STEAM
Okay, not an awful lot else this morning, so here's some exciting gossip.

Apparently Blackburn are going to give a contract to Swiss midfielder Johann Vogel.

If memory serves, there was some nonsense about Vogel and Everton last summer, but it's early - we can't quite remember right now.
