GOW RELISHING SEASIDERS SWITCH

GOW RELISHING SEASIDERS SWITCH

Gow - has joined Blackpool.

New Blackpool strike recruit Alan Gow has admitted that he needed to leave SPL giants Rangers for the sake of his career.

Gow became Simon Grayson's 14th signing since the end of last season after joining on loan earlier this week and is set to make his debut against Barnsley on September 13.

The Seasiders will have the option to make the 25-year-old's stay at Bloomfield Road permanent with a fee already agreed with the SPL outfit if he impresses in the Championship.

Gow said: "Obviously it hasn't worked out the way I thought it should have at Rangers but I need to go out, play some games and get my fitness back.

"I thought I was going to go to Hearts at one point. Then Blackpool came in with a bid for us and then I came on loan, so I'm happy with that."
