MILLER FACES SPEEDING CHARGES
Miller - speeding charges.
Aberdeen forward Lee Miller appeared in court on Wednesday charged with driving at speeds of up to 120mph.
Miller, 25, is alleged to have driven dangerously on the A90 between Aberdeen and Dundee on March 30.
He is accused of driving a car at 120mph in a 70mph zone. The same charge alleges he drove at 90mph in a 40mph zone.
Miller, who denies the charge, appeared briefly at Stonehaven Sheriff Court.
His solicitor Lynne Newland said the firm originally acting for Miller will no longer be representing him.
She said she had only taken instructions from her client on Tuesday and asked for the trial date of September 19 to be postponed.
Sheriff Patrick Davies agreed to postpone the trial until October 17 with Miller, who is from Perth, next due to appear in the court on October 1.
Miller, Aberdeen's top scorer last season with 13 goals, began his professional career in 2000 in the Scottish First Division with Falkirk.
After spells with Bristol City, Hearts and Dundee United, the forward joined Aberdeen in 2006.
He signed a two-year contract extension with the Pittodrie side in May.
