GRAYSON TIPS GOW TO IMPRESS

GRAYSON TIPS GOW TO IMPRESS

Grayson - 'good signing'.

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has backed Alan Gow to become a success at Bloomfield Road after fighting off competition to sign the midfielder

Rangers star Gow became Grayson's 14th signing since the end of last season after joining on loan and is set to make his debut against Barnsley on September 13.

The Seasiders will have the option to make the 25-year-old's stay at Bloomfield Road permanent with a fee already agreed with the SPL outfit if he impresses in the Championship.

Grayson said: "I think it's a good signing for us. I think there's been a lot of clubs that have shown a lot of interest over the last year or so.

"I know he turned down a move to Burnley and Norwich probably a few weeks ago, maybe a couple of months ago and we did face a lot of competition for him, down here and up in Scotland.

"He brings some good versatility, he can handle the ball, he's a creative player and he's another player that we've added to the squad which I think will make us better."
