CRAINIE RELISHING REGULAR GAMES

CRAINIE RELISHING REGULAR GAMES

Cranie - Charlton loan move.

Charlton new-boy Martin Cranie admits he is looking forward to getting some first-team football under his belt after arriving on deadline day from Portsmouth.

The 21-year-old is behind the likes of Sol Campbell, Sylvain Distin and Hermann Hreidarsson in the centre-half pecking order at Fratton Park and has joined the Addicks on loan until the end of the year.

"I'd heard that Charlton had wanted me for a little while and I'm not getting a look in at Portsmouth at the minute, so it's a chance to go out and get some first-team football," he told the club's official website.

"Charlton are a big club and I'm happy to be here and get some games in."
