McFADDEN CALMS BLUES' CONCERNS
McFadden - should stay at Birmingham.
Birmingham forward James McFadden insists he will not leave St Andrews this summer unless the club decides to sell him.
Summer speculation has linked the Scotland striker with a move away from the Championship outfit and Celtic are understood to be admirers.
Birmingham have said they are not looking to sell the forward as manager Alex McLeish plots an immediate return to the Premier League.
And McFadden is also adamant that he is not actively seeking a route away from St Andrews.
"My situation is that I'm here at Birmingham unless I'm told otherwise, that the club has accepted an offer," McFadden told the Birmingham Mail.
"As far as I know, there haven't been any offers. Until that happens - if it all - then there's nothing to speak about really."
McFadden, who joined Birmingham from Everton in January, also says that he has refused to let his standards drop in pre-season and that he will continue to give 100 per cent as the Blues prepare to kick-off their season at home to Sheffield United on Saturday.
"I've come back and I've not really had much thought about it (transfer speculation) to be honest," added McFadden.
"I've had speculation in every transfer window when I was at Everton and I have learned to deal with it.
"Unless there is something I need to say 'yes' or 'no' to, then I don't really need to speak about anything at the minute.
"I'm here, I'm fighting for the cause and I think the fans can see that I am here, so that should be enough.
"I'm happy to be here. There's a nice atmosphere, happy and relaxed and I've got my preparation set for the game this week and for the rest of the season.
"If that changes, it changes. But I don't see that happening at the minute."
