O'DRISCOLL HAS CHAMBERS IN HIS SIGHTS
O'Driscoll - is hoping to sign Chambers.
Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll is hoping to complete the permanent signing of Leicester defender James Chambers early next week.
The 27-year-old has held talks with the Doncaster manager and watched Friday's 5-0 home defeat to Bolton from the stands.
O'Driscoll told the club's official website: "James has travelled up to chat. He can play in that sort of utility role that Paul Green gave us.
"He can play anywhere along the back four, has had lots of Championship experience, so we are having a talk with him and seeing where that leads.
"He's with Leicester City at the moment and Leicester have given us permission to speak to him and that is what we are doing.
"He won't be spending a few days with us, he's a proven Championship player and if we can move it anyway forward over the weekend, then we will. If not, then we will make a quick decision over James."
