Maynard - hopes to impress for Bristol City.
Nicky Maynard hopes his "dream" debut hat-trick has helped justify his £2.25million price tag.
The 21-year-old striker, who signed from Crewe on Friday, made an instant impact for his new club as the Robins overcame Royal Antwerp 4-0.
Maynard said: "It's a dream come true to impress my new team-mates and my new supporters like that.
"I think it will certainly help me settle into the club a lot quicker."
He added: "I don't want the fans to be thinking about the price tag, saying he's not worth this, he's not worth that. Hopefully I've done enough and can kick on again from the Blackpool game."
