BLADES HOPE FOR MARTIN RETURN
Martin - Blades target.
Kevin Blackwell remains optimistic he can take Lee Martin back to Sheffield United.
The Manchester United youngster spent a spell on loan at Bramall Lane last season, making nine appearances for the club.
Martin, who featured during United's pre-season trip to South Africa, has previously stated he would consider a return to the Blades.
And Blackwell is hopeful he can reach an agreement with his Old Trafford counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson regarding a deal for the winger.
"We already have the likes of Stephen Quinn and Chris Armstrong who can play wide and lock things up to balance things out in that way, but we might need someone who can provide something different," the Blades manager told the club's official website.
"There is a possibility that we might still be able to do something with Lee and have asked Sir Alex to keep us informed.
"Lee has said he would like to come back because he enjoyed his time here - as did the other lads who came on loan last season - which is a good mark for this club."
