JEWELL BEMOANS INJURY WOES
Jewell - frustrated.
Derby boss Paul Jewell has vented his frustration as injuries continue to hamper his squad's pre-season preparations.
With the start of the Championship campaign little over two weeks away, Jewell is yet to see Kris Commons or Alan Stubbs in action while new signing Rob Hulse also missed the club's latest friendly at Oldham on Wednesday evening with a niggling groin problem.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw at Boundary Park, Jewell told County's official website: "Again there was no Alan Stubbs or Kris Commons and we didn't have either Nathan Ellington or Rob Hulse up front or Paul Connolly and Dean Leacock as well.
"We are missing key players at the moment and it is frustrating as you want them to get games under their belts before the start of the season but you don't want to risk injuring them more.
"Hopefully Kris Commons and Rob Hulse will be ready for Saturday and there is an outside chance that Stubbs will be fit, but we can't rush these things."
