ARSHAVIN AVAILABLE FOR £19M
Zenit St Petersburg are ready to drop their asking price for Andrei Arshavin to re-open negotiations with Spurs, say reports in Russia.
Tottenham's interest cooled after the Russian club refused to budge on their £24m price tag - a figure that has also put off Barcelona and Chelsea - but now it seems that they are ready to move closer to Spurs' initial £14m bid.
Zenit's captain Anatoli Tymoschuk has been quoted as saying that he expects Arshavin to be playing in the Premier League next season, while the player's agent has claimed that Juande Ramos has phoned him personally to sell him the idea of a switch.
Ramos is also being heavily linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon's Miguel Veloso - also a target for Arsenal - as well as David Villa as a potential replacement for Dimitar Berbatov.
