JEWELL EYES PEREPLOTKIN DEAL
Jewell - could sign Pereplotkin.
Derby manager Paul Jewell has hinted he could make Latvian forward Andrey Pereplotkin his latest summer signing.
The 23-year-old Latvia international, currently with Skonto FC, impressed while on trial this week and caught the eye again in the Rams' 2-2 draw with FC Utrecht.
Jewell told the club's official website: "He did very well in training on Thursday and Friday and has done well again (against Utrecht). We'll see what the situation is."
Derby warmed up for next Saturday's opening-day clash at home against Doncaster with a 2-2 draw against the Dutch side with goals from Kris Commons and Nathan Ellington (penalty).
