BROOKER MAKES CITY RETURN

BROOKER MAKES CITY RETURN

Brooker - back at City.

Bristol City striker Steve Brooker has made an early return from his loan spell at Doncaster after he suffered a torn calf muscle in training.

The 27-year-old hitman had made a dream start to his stay with Rovers, for whom he signed an initial one-month deal last Thursday, coming on as a second-half substitute against Watford and grabbing a vital equaliser with his first touch.

However, he has now been forced to return to Ashton Gate to receive treatment and is not expected to play football within the next month.

Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is closely monitoring the situation with a view to potentially resurrecting the move once Brooker has recovered.
