BROOKER COULD STAY AT DONCASTER

Brooker - could stay at Doncaster.

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll admits he could turn Steve Brooker's loan into a permanent move when the transfer window opens again in January.

The 27-year-old striker, who is on loan from Bristol City, scored on his debut against Watford as a second-half substitute to earn Rovers a point, and he has impressed O'Driscoll with how quickly he has adjusted to life at the Keepmoat Stadium.

"We've spoken to Bristol City and they are keen to do something. He's out of contract at the end of the season so he becomes a free transfer," O'Driscoll told the club's website.

"The current move suits Steve - his family is from Yorkshire and we needed a striker so all parties can benefit from it.

"It's a good start for him, he's keen to play some football and his over play is good. He is an intelligent footballer and I'm sure he will be disappointed not to go away from his loan spell with at least half a dozen goals in his locker.

"He has come and made an impact. Not only that I think that players are the best judge of other players and I think they already know what a good player he is."
